A new generation, for a better world.
Workshop: Build your own upcycled bughouse!
Wrap up Earth Week with this fun, easy, and informative workshop. Learn how to build your own bughouse
and find out more about the local species of insects and their importance to the local ecosystems.
You bring the cans, we'll bring the rest!
Just grab a few clean 14-16oz cans from your kitchen and bring them along! We will provide all other materials including reclaimed wood, tools, hardware, and "nesting" materials. If you would like to bring some nesting materials from your own yard to make the bug hotel have a more "local feel", that's great! If not, we'll have plenty to use!
Family friendly fun, that's
If you're old enough to use a screw driver, you're old enough to enjoy this workshop! During this workshop, you'll not only have a chance to learn about the local species of insects that may visit your bug house, but how important they are to the local ecosystems. You may even have a chance to interact with some bugs! Keep in mind that minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
